Multi-Tenant and Multi-Use Business Park Nuremberg (Design Competition 1st Prize)

On the site of a former printing plant, the construction of two new buildings with a total of almost 14,000 m² of usable space is planned. These new structures – built right and left of existing buildings – should offer flexible space to lease for a wide spectrum of usage. Possible uses include logistics, laboratories, warehousing, production, assembly or offices. Part of the space in the halls is designed as a mezzanine, which can serve as flex-space and be changed or subdivided according to the needs of tenants. The concept is marked by a high level of functionality and alternative use capability and offers the widest possible range of hall sizes and working spaces, which can be either combined or divided. Deliveries can be received via heavy-duty-traffic loading ramps or at ground level (transporters, vans). Visitor and employee parking is provided by two central split-level park decks.
The new buildings have a technical façade in which anthracite-colored trapezoidal plates and sections of Profilit glazing and clear glass in various formats are combined. The multi-story office wings each have a “skin” of silver-colored metal mesh, which is mounted over an invisible substructure of sandwich panels and backlit at night. All office areas have a loggia or roof terrace.
