On the slope of the “Binger Brück”, a three- and four-story care facility is staggered across the steep grade in a graduated U-form. The east-west alignment of the complex permits an optimal natural illumination in the structure and offers a very attractive view into the Rhine valley and its vineyards. The building encloses a protected inner courtyard, which, with its intentionally calm and geometric structure, constitutes the center of the facility. In addition to approximately 150 care stations, a café and a commons room are planned, which can also be opened to the public.
The façade contains large-structured openings in which moveable, large-format glass and sun protection elements are located. The exterior appearance of the facility is marked by colorful, plastered surfaces and wood in warm tones. The penthouse in the west wing houses a library and a snoezelen room.
