Updated:

The industrial organisation of the building follows the complex production processes and the high load requirements of components weighing between 20 and 50 tonnes. A regular structural grid of 12.00 × 27.00 m creates generous, flexibly usable hall bays. Crane systems serve all production areas and enable the direct transport of heavy components between machining, assembly and testing. Additional functions such as heat treatment, delivery and dispatch zones, as well as administration, are directly integrated into the overall structure.

Around 50 per cent of the existing factory buildings were demolished and the technical infrastructure was completely renewed, creating a robust and clearly organised industrial structure in which construction, production, logistics and technical systems are precisely coordinated.

Production and Logistics Concept

The production hall is designed specifically for the manufacture of large-scale gearbox components. A regular structural grid of 12.00 × 27.00 m creates generous and flexibly usable hall bays. The crane systems reach all production areas and allow the safe transport of components weighing between 20 and 50 tonnes between machining, assembly and testing. Heat treatment, delivery and dispatch zones are directly integrated into the production structure. Short routes and clearly organised material flows connect the individual process stages into an efficient overall sequence. Structure, logistics and technical infrastructure form a precisely coordinated system.

Reorganisation of the Factory

For the new production facility, around 50 per cent of the existing factory buildings were demolished and the technical infrastructure was completely renewed. Production, heat treatment, logistics and administration were combined into a coherent structure, creating the basis for efficient and long-term adaptable manufacturing processes.
